SVA (Samsung Ventrues America)

Samsung Ventures America (SVA) is the US operation of Samsung Venture Investment Corporation (SVIC), the venture capital arm of the Samsung Group. SVA and SVIC collectively manage over $400 million for our limited partners, including Samsung Electronics, Samsung SDI, SEMCO, Samsung Techwin, Samsung Securities, Samsung Lift Insurance, and Samsung Fire & Marine.

We work in conjunction with our limited partners to invest in startups that offer the opportunity to foster mutually beneficial relationships for both our business units and potential portfolio companies. Within the IT sector, we are currenfly seeking out opportunities in the consumer electronics, digital media, display technology, semiconductor, and telecommunications areas. Although located in Silicon Valley, we are not limited by geography and invest in companies in North America, Europe, and Asia.

We typically invest from $2 to $5 million per investment round, at various stages of the startup company's life cycle. in addition to contributing financially, we seek to help our portfolio companies develop, manage and capitalize on their relationship with the Samsung Group.
